Worship, discipleship,
fellowship and service.
Christ Church Boerne is a conservative liturgical church seeking to cultivate historic Christianity for modern people.
Rooted in the old paths.
On the Lord's Day the Triune God graciously calls us together so that we might render our praise and thanksgiving to him. Worship is the foundation of the Christian life.
From worship flows discipleship, through Bible study and learning. Discipleship makes meaningful fellowship possible, as members come to know and serve one another. And fellowship overflows into service, as we grow in our desire to bless the community around us.
The shape of
the Lord's Service.
Our liturgy follows a five-part pattern in which God serves his people. The whole service is printed in the bulletin, so you can follow along.
Call
We’re called into God’s presence to worship. We enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
Cleansing
We confess our sins, God forgives us, and we answer with thanksgiving.
Consecration
God's Word instructs us, and we dedicate ourselves to him.
Communion
We share the Eucharist, the fellowship meal of the family of God.
Commission
We receive the blessing and go out to our vocations as holy callings from God.
We affirm the essentials of the faith as outlined in the Ecumenical Creeds.
The Ecumenical Creeds
The Apostles', Nicene and Athanasian Creeds summarize the faith once delivered to the saints.
The Thirty-Nine Articles
We are a confessional church, adopting the Thirty-Nine Articles of the Christian Religion as our doctrinal standard.
The CREC
We are a member of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches. Visit crechurches.org.
